Our homestay program gives you a unique opportunity you will never
experience in urban Bali. Our program gives you the holiday you
truly deserve - the genuine Balinese experience. Introduction of Bali Homestay
The Bali
Homestay Program was founded in 2001 with the intention of helping
Balinese village people improve their quality life and start a
charity program for the needy children to continue their school
and get proper education. This is the first time the program hosts
visitors from abroad. Before this The Bali Homestay Program lasted
just one week giving visitors the possibility to take part of
daily life in a small Balinese village.
When the
first Bali Bomb blast in Kuta October 2002 it killed more than
200 people from different countries and hurt more than 500 people.
This affected very much the Balinese tourist industry and also
the Bali Homestay Program itself because of the lack of tourist
coming to Bali. This situation continued until the end of 2003.
Your participation on the Bali Homestay Program is highly appreciated
and we always welcome delegate to become a part of our program
and the community to improve Bali village community life. Charity & Cultural Exchange
Program
We are developing a better atmosphere
for eco-tourism which will allow guests to meet the local people
on a daily basis and exchange knowledge and cultures. By participating
in eco-tourism, delegate help to protect the environment and to
improve education. In Bali, we give delegate the opportunity to
explore and experience the Balinese culture and embrace the true
spirit of Bali. Come and visit our truly"pride

Homestay
Activities
Pick up a tip or two on the preparation
of traditional Balinese food from your host and savor the exquisite
cuisine in your very own home even after you leave the place.
Discover the secrets of making
a cup of fine Balinese coffee with its invigorating aroma - from
picking the coffee beans yourself to joining the locals in processing
them in the traditional fashion. Complete your cultural experience
as master craftsmen guide you through the elaborate process of
creating traditional handicrafts replete with intricate designs.
Visit the fruit orchards and get charmed by the wandering movements
of our river snaking through the rice fields and into our foliage-laden
mountains and hills. A leisurely stroll via a footpath takes you
to the southern part of the village where an untouched waterfall
awaits you.
For more adventurous, activities like trekking, hiking and mountain
biking will surely make your stay more memorable. At the end of
the day, reward yourself with sensational visual drama of the
sun setting over the panoramic Batukaru Ranges.
Lesson on Balinese cuisine and making of
religious offerings. Follow host family on their daily life activities
eg. rice fields, fruit orchards, fishing etc.
Give a simple English language lesson to the village children.
Socialising with the village people especially children in the
village. Sight-seeing tour to surroundings of the village. Daily
Balinese activities eg. school visit, Balinese dance, sunset etc.
A part of the collection from this program
will be spend to improve the education for the village children
and to protect the environment of Jegu.
The local community looks forward to building good relationships
